New Evernote Apps: Food and Hello

As I’m sure you’ve gathered by now if you’ve read this blog for any length of time, I really like Evernote. There are so many uses for their app, and today, they’ve added two new apps to their selection that add even more usefulness. The apps are called Hello and Food. I’ve had the chance to experiment with both of them a bit, and I think they have some great potential.

My iPhone Homescreen

I’m always curious as to what apps other people have on their homescreens. Here’s mine:

iTether

One of the biggest tech stories from yesterday and early today was of an app that appeared in the App Store called iTether. It claimed to allow contract free tethering over USB to your Mac or PC for the comparatively low one time price of $14.99. I have no idea how the app made it through Apple’s approval process, but it did, and soon rocketed to the top of the charts. iOS 5.1 Beta Available

Rumor has it that iOS 5.1 beta is available over at developer.apple.com. I don’t currently have a developer account, so I haven’t been able to get it and check it out, so if some of my developer friends would like to clue me in on any of the changes, that’d be great! Go forth and download!

15″ MacBook Air Rumors

I’m loving the rumors about a 15″ MacBook Air. I’m hoping to get a new laptop before graduating from Clemson next August, and if something like this is announced, I’d be all over it. I’ve always liked the idea of a MacBook Air, but they’ve never really seemed to have quite enough horsepower for what I use my laptop for. I occasionally edit some video or do some audio work on my laptop, and I don’t think the current line of Airs would be able to handle that quite as well as my current MacBook Pro (though it seems to be getting worse and worse at it). At any rate, I would seriously consider buying a laptop with that type of form factor if the processor and other specs were good enough to handle my usage.

What about you? Would you consider buying one?
